Gifted and Talented Education

 
 

Gifted students receive differentiated instruction in their classrooms based on various research-based teaching models. Lessons focus on varying instructional levels and interests to provide a rigorous and relevant curriculum to all students.

Opportunities for Differentiation occur inside and outside of the classroom for gifted students at Franklin including (but are not limited to): 

  • Higher level of Thinking Taxonomy  
  • Reader-writer workshop
  • Research Projects with Integration of Technology and Project-Based Learning
  • Rubrics that set clear goals for advanced writing aligned with Common Core Standards
