A Message from the Principal:

Franklin Avenue Elementary School is nestled in the Los Feliz community and has been a model of educational excellence and parent involvement for almost 100 years. Our dedicated teachers utilize student-centered approaches to deliver robust and engaging instruction.  We offer an academically rigorous curriculum with a strong focus on the integration of each of the Art disciplines with the content standards, while nurturing student’s Social Emotional Learning.  Our classroom environments are spaces that inspire collaboration, creativity, and community building. Our instructional program has received four State distinctions including the California Distinguished School Award, the California Pivotal Practice School Award, and the Title 1 Academic Achievement Awards 2009 and 2010.
